Without melee staying close the the throne is rather a task, since the bullet hell it can create naturally forces you back since back is where the easy places to avoid the shots are. You can do it with a screwdriver with ease, it just takes incredible time. You missed my point that saying "you can do it with x" if X is melee is a useless statenece since melee makes the throne fight a battle of patience.
