I expect it will work with your commands, but I also liked a couple of features of the 525. I also considered a recently discontinued model TXNR509, which is available on ebay for $185 inc shipping, but it was not perfectly clear if that unit was up to date in its network capabilities. I bought a Onkyo TXNR525 on ebay for $265 including shipping. Hopefully this will be helpful to anyone else looking to have ISY AVR automation at a low price point. Ok, I wont bore you with more posts, but do want to report where I ended up.

Implemented the protocol in Java (for an android app I wrote) and added a ' dump' command that spits out the exact binary message string to copy into ISY Network Resources dialogue box.Īll the messages (I implemented) are listed in a text file on the wiki Controlling an Onkyo (or Integra) AV Receiver has been discussed a few times on both this forum and the wiki however, it was still complicated to create the actual binary message string to copy into the Network Resources dialogue box.
